History of the Granville Train Station

A quick glance at my GPS and the Granville Train Station pops up. Just so I know that there's not too much I need to know about this location, I click a few buttons on my GPS to take me there. Then she came back to her computer and I put down my pen and paper and I went on my way, but what exactly is it?

According to the website of Granville, British Columbia's Tourism Department, this station was established in 1866, which is one hundred and eleven years ago. For those of you who do not know, the rail line used to be an actual train station, and the depot were at that point (now marked by the plaque) on that place (marked on the GPS).

As you can see, the Granville Station is not like any other train station in Canada. The name is based off of the Granville-Dufferin station, which was actually part of the original Trans-Canada Railway. This name was later used for this station.

When you visit this station, you will find it is pretty simple to understand, and there are some signs that you should take note of. The first thing I notice is that there are no platforms, and instead there is a platform that leads to the road. What's interesting about this station is that it is close to a busy street. So you have to wonder if the locals use this station, and if the train comes by often.

The second thing I notice when I visit this train station is that there is not a lot of parking. In fact, it is possible that you may have to park somewhere else before you go to the door. That makes sense because of how this station is right next to the highway. As long as there are no trains or cars around, you should be able to use the restroom easily without having to worry about being seen by someone.

Of course, there is also more to the history of Granville than the history of the station. There are many other places to visit, such as the old Granville mills. that are still active today.

If you have ever been to Granville, you should definitely pay it a visit sometime soon. It is a very unique and interesting place, and it is one of my favorites in Canada.

Just make sure to pay a visit, because you will never forget the sights and sounds of this wonderful Granville. This train station is definitely worth a trip and is one of the best train stations in the entire world.
