The Montevrain - A Pleasure Ship

The Montevrain is a beautiful little fishing vessel which was originally made in the 15th century. It was used by the Spanish kings and queens and has a very rich history. The vessel has been built of wood, but has since been replaced with aluminum. When we first saw this ship in our tour guide's window, we thought it looked like a pirate ship! This is only natural when you consider the size of this boat.

We were told that when the ship was first put together, it took two years to build, and it was taken down in the middle of the second year, because the crew felt that the sails were too large and heavy for their small craft. They also felt that they were unsafe, and that the sails had not been installed correctly.

They made it a point to install a great sail and a mast that would last a long time. However, the sail was too big for the ship, and the mast was a bit too flimsy for the weight of the water it would have to lug around. The result was that the ship only traveled as fast as it was steered. Of course, the crew knew that the ship would not be able to make a turn in such a short amount of time.

When the crew finally decided to install a larger sail and a new mast on the ship, they also installed a great engine which had a great engine for a beautiful sailing vessel. The new engines were not nearly as powerful as the engines the Spanish king had used when he was sailing his royal vessels. So, while the ship was now very fast and beautiful, it was no longer a pirate ship. They made the decision to replace the ship with a new one for the cruise ship industry.

Now we all know that the Montevrain was not originally designed to be a small pleasure craft, but it was later adapted to that end. They were sold as a pleasure ship to those who wanted a larger vessel to cruise the Mediterranean, and then they were later sold as luxury ships to those who wanted a more luxurious vessel.

With a little research, we found out that the ship is no longer only known as a pleasure ship and is now referred to as a luxury liner. Montevrain cruises are very popular these days.
