SÉLESTAT is a small commune situated in the north east corner of France. An administrative district of the Bas-Rhin department, the commune lies close to the Rhine, 16 kilometres away from the Rhine and the Belgian border. SÉLESTAT is located between the two largest communes of Strasbourg, Alsace and Mulhouse. It's been around for over 500 years and is very popular with tourists.

The small but modern village is situated in the northern part of France on the banks of the River Rhone. The main road in SÉLESTAT is the Chambourg pass, which runs along the French-Italian border.
