Information About Saint-Savin

Saint Savin, also known as Saint-Sazard sur Gartement, is a village in the Vienne province in southwestern France. It's located on the banks of a large tributary to the River Seine, the Seine River, which flows into the Rhone River. This tributary, as the name implies, washes its way through a number of towns and villages and is one of France's main tourist attractions. There are over fifty churches located throughout Saint-Savin and many of them are considered the oldest of their day. Many of these are also quite beautiful.

The name St-Savin comes from the town's original name, which was Saint-Simon.
